Arrival at the cottage
When entering the route in the navigation, please check that the proposed route corresponds to the drawing below – choose the direction from which you will come. It is important that your route includes the crossing point “Turn” (GPS coordinates 48.417641, 19.087240 or 48°25’03.5″N 19°05’14.1″E). Some navigations suggest routes that are not passable! Therefore, please first check that your route matches the drawing. we thank you

If you are traveling in the direction of Banská Štiavnica, it is necessary to check that your route leads through the village of Žibritov and the crossing point “Turn” to our cottage. If the navigation will suggest a route through Banský Studenec, manually enter the address of the “turn” crossing point. The road through Banský Studenec is not passable!
If you are traveling in the direction from Nitra or Banská Bystrica, it is ideal to take the highway in the direction of Zvolen, from where you can then go towards Krupina via the “turn” crossing point to reach our cottage. We recommend the same route if you are traveling from the direction of Detva.
If you are traveling in the direction of Krupina, check that on your route you have the exit “turn” from the main road no. 66. You can then proceed according to the navigation boards.
What to think about before arriving
Holý Vrch Cottage is located in a secluded area in the middle of nature, so it is good to think about a few basic things before arriving:
- it is ideal to buy groceries for the entire stay on the way to the cottage. Depending on the direction of arrival, you can use, for example, one of the supermarkets in Banská Štiavnica (Tesco, Lidl, Billa), in Zvolen (Tesco, Kaufland, Billa, Lidl) or in Krupina (Tesco, Billa, Coop Jednota)
- medication you take, e.g. diabetes, allergies,…
- if you come with your pets, don’t forget to bring everything you need for them
- there is a grill and an oven near the cottage (for bread, pizza or, for example, duck), so if you plan to grill, don’t forget to buy food for this purpose as well
What do we have in the cottage?
The Holý Vrch Cottage is well equipped, so you definitely don’t have to worry if you forget something small that we have prepared for you at the cottage, such as:
- toothbrushes, toothpaste
- shampoo, soap, shower gel
- women’s hygiene supplies
- towels
You will also have at your disposal the necessary equipment for a comfortable stay, such as:
- fully equipped kitchen
- oven, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, blender
- basic spices, salt, dry food
- coffee machine + coffee, tea
- hair dryer, towels, toiletries
- equipment for grilling – coal, wood, chips, grill trays and tools

FAQ
When you arrive at the cottage, we will be waiting for you with the keys, we will show you everything you need and explain what will be needed. Likewise, we will meet again when handing over the cottage. The time of arrival and departure is always mutually agreed upon.
Yes, a refundable deposit of €200 is payable when taking over the cottage. This deposit will be returned to you in full at the end of your stay if there is no damage to the equipment or the cottage itself during your stay.
Yes, the entire plot around the cottage is fenced.
No, the entire cottage (interior) is non-smoking. An outdoor covered area with seating is reserved for smoking.
Of course, the entire area of the cottage is fenced, so it is ideal for visiting with your pets. In addition, we have no extra charge for pets.
